New Year's Eve Yoga Retreat
Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
December 27, 2026 - January 2, 2027

Practice with Purpose
Celebrate the New Year in sacred community immersing in the potent portal between the completion of 2026 and the embrace of 2027. A time to honor sacred transition and transformation, enhanced by the profound magic of Lake Atitlán. Reflect and bow in reverence for what the past year has brought, and conjure the cosmic space to foster new possibilities and manifestations for the year to come.
This space is for the one who has been moving fast and craving a moment to truly pause.
For the one who feels the quiet pull for something more—but hasn’t had the space to listen.
For the one who has outgrown old patterns, identities, or rhythms, and is ready to step into a new chapter with clarity and intention.
For the one who wants to begin the year not in chaos or distraction, but in alignment, ritual, and meaning.
Through ceremony, guided intention, and moments of deep stillness, we create space to honor the past year, reconnect with our inner truth, and consciously envision what we are stepping into.
Held in community, this experience becomes both deeply personal and profoundly collective, a space of transformation as we cross into a new chapter together.

Nestled between the sleeping volcanos and surrounded by sacred waters, Lake Atitlán will serve as our home for the week as we welcome in 2027. "Atitlán" in Nahuatl means "the place where the rainbow gets its colors."
This mystical lake is often called the most beautiful in Central America and has inspired insight-seekers for thousands for years.

Our time on retreat will be a precious and powerful opportunity to turn inwards, reconnect with our inner nature, and cultivate deep connections of community.
Sunrise will be spent in Noble Silence and meditation to cultivate inner harmony of body and mind, allowing for introspection with the surrounding volcanoes and glassy lake as your serene backdrop. Each morning will also be followed by a dynamic and invigorating vinyasa practice for your own embodied experience.
Evenings will be reserved for lunar-based practices incorporating Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. Along with the opportunity to deepen and cultivate community through energetic engagements and interpersonal rituals. Evening sessions will be held in a ceremonial setting dedicated to inner healing and restoration.
New Year's Eve on Lake Atitlan will be celebrated with a majestic firework show over the waters, accompanied by intention setting rituals and practices to welcome in a new rhythm.

About
Lake Atitlan
Surrounded by a vortex of volcanoes, Lake Atitlan is known for its healing and mystical properties that seekers and believers feel upon arrival. The lake lies in the heart of an ancient volcano's caldera, which filled with water after it's final eruption 85,000 years ago. The lake and it's three surrounding volcanoes still hold active tectonic power and people travel from around the world to feel the energy vortex created here at the intersection of Fuego de la Tierra and Paz del Lago.
Located in Santa Cruz la Laguna, Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, the retreat center is dedicated to rejuvenating holistic practices and healing modalities as well as preserving Mayan traditions and facilitating outdoor adventure in the heart of the Altiplano.
Majestically located on the shores of Lake Atitlan, this retreat oasis has a dock for sitting along the shore as well as a pool overlooking the waters. Many Mayan hands have contributed to the creation of this paradise and our ongoing connection with indigenous neighbors has been mutually respectful, rich and gratifying. Everything you find here – every brick, every paving stone, every piece of window glass and decorative tile — has been lovingly transported to Sumaya by boat and then carried by hand and strong back to its respective location.
