Imagine welcoming in the New Year feeling clear instead of depleted.
Connected instead of scattered.
Inspired instead overwhelmed.
How you meet the New Year and how you step across that threshold, is shaped by the intentions you place.
Intention is not simply a resolution or goal.
It is the catalyst for who you’ll become in this next chapter.
This retreat creates space to consciously choose the kind of year you want to step into, and the kind of person you want to be within it.
Through yoga, meditation, yin practices, reflection, ceremony, and community , you’ll immerse in an intentional process of integration the past and envisioning the future you're dreaming of.
Join Ashlyn Bugbee for a deeply intentional week of yoga, ritual, reflection, community, and renewal on the shores of Lake Atitlán, a mystical volcanic lake long considered one of the spiritual hearts of Central America.
Enter 2027 with presence and purpose.
Rather than rushing into another year from exhaustion or autopilot, imagine entering 2027 with clarity, devotion, and presence.

Nourishing meals shared in community.
Deep conversations and real connections.

Lake Atitlan
Surrounded by a vortex of volcanoes, Lake Atitlan is known for its healing and mystical properties that seekers and believers feel upon arrival. The lake lies in the heart of an ancient volcano's caldera, which filled with water after it's final eruption 85,000 years ago. The lake and it's three surrounding volcanoes still hold active tectonic power and people travel from around the world to feel the energy vortex created here at the intersection of Fuego de la Tierra and Paz del Lago.
Located in Santa Cruz la Laguna, Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, the retreat center is dedicated to rejuvenating holistic practices and healing modalities as well as preserving Mayan traditions and facilitating outdoor adventure in the heart of the Altiplano.
Majestically located on the shores of Lake Atitlan, this retreat oasis has a dock for sitting along the shore as well as a pool overlooking the waters. Many Mayan hands have contributed to the creation of this paradise and our ongoing connection with indigenous neighbors has been mutually respectful, rich and gratifying. Everything you find here – every brick, every paving stone, every piece of window glass and decorative tile — has been lovingly transported to Sumaya by boat and then carried by hand and strong back to its respective location.

I came for the yoga, what a wonderful surprise to learn that Ashlyn's retreats involve so much more. The insights and practices she shared are leaving us better people and a more solid couple, with a new community. The bonds made here and knowledge gained with stay with me forever.

Meet Ashlyn
I’m Ashlyn Bugbee, a devoted student of yoga, lover of ritual, and creator of intentional spaces rooted in connection and transformation. After years of spending New Year’s Eve in loud parties and environments that left me feeling disconnected, I began craving something more meaningful… a way to enter the new year with presence, clarity, community, and intention.
This retreat was born from that longing. Returning to Lake Atitlán for the third time to guide this experience feels deeply sacred. This is one of the most powerful places to enter the new year. Surrounded by volcanoes, ceremony, practice, adventure, and authentic connection, we gather not just to celebrate a new year, but to consciously step into a new chapter together.
Whether through yoga, meditation, ritual, or shared moments of awe, my intention is always the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, inspired, and reconnected to themselves. Because I believe the way we enter a new year matters… and that transformation happens most powerfully in community.
